What are supplemental educational service (SES)?

The SES Provider provides additional academic instruction by way of a rigorous tutorial program outside of the regular school day. The tutorial program is designed to increase the academic achievement of low-income students (as defined by eligibility for free and reduced price meals) who attend qualifying Title 1 schools. Does my Student Qualify for SES tutoring? All students who attend Title 1 schools who did not meet Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as defined by the State Department of Education, is a component of the accountability profile based on a series of performance goals that every school, local education agency (LEA), and State must achieve within specified time frames in order to meet the 100% Proficiency goal established by the federal government's No Child Left Behind Act of 2001).

Our training method makes us different and makes your students successful. Our tutors use group dynamics with a wholistic approach to teaching. • Creating Diamonds has a proven record of academic success and we have more than fifteen years of experience. We are a certified SES (Supplemental Education Services) Provider licensed to Tutor children throughout the entire State of Georgia in accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act. Our services are free to low-income children who attend a school that did not make AYP.
• We understand the financial impact of teacher furlough and we want to provide part-time employment opportunities for your teachers and staff outside of normal school hours and their work with Creating Diamonds will in no way interfere with their school responsibilities. Tudors earn up to $40 an hour, Site Coordinators earn $40 an hour plus very generous bonuses and Administrative Assistant and earn $20 an hour. We will select the staff members you recommend and those you feel you can motivate and inspire students.
• Creating Diamonds staff consists of educators, literacy specialist, special education teachers and numerous skilled academic specialists. We use strong curricula, Voyager and Study Island, which have been proven to raise the academic achievement levels throughout all the schools that did not make AYP or need improvement. We have proven methods of moving students beyond their grade level and improving their test scores.
